The San Diego Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution is the oldest in San Diego County. The San Diego Chapter has a rich history which began on December 9, 1910, at the Hillcrest home of our organizing Regent, where 33 women gathered.

Our members are all direct descendants of American Revolutionary War Patriots who have a deep love of country and honor our American heritage. We are ladies from a variety of backgrounds, of all ages, with a sundry of abilities, professions, and talents. From January through May and September through December, each third Friday of the month, we come together for chapter business and a luncheon meeting with a program presented by a guest speaker.

Our other activities include promoting:

• Americanism and American History Studies in Schools
• Commemorative Events and Constitution Week
• Conservation and Genealogy
• Good Citizenship and Literacy
• Historic Preservation
• Honor and Promote the American Flag
• Native American Projects and Awareness
• Patriotism and Service to America
• Support of Veterans and the United Service Organization (USO)

We are inspired by the deeds, dreams, and sacrifices of our patriot ancestors and value the participation of each cherished and respected member in their service to our community. About Us

Our members are a diverse group who are all direct descendants of American Revolutionary War Patriots and are bound together with pride in our heritage and our love of country. We are a group of women of all ages, with varied backgrounds, talents, and professional experiences in many fields; each of whom is respected and valued as a member. We are inspired by the deeds and dreams of our ancestors and value the contribution that each of our members makes. There is something for everyone to do! Coming together is beginning, staying together is progress, working together is a success.
