DAR – Daughters of the American Revolution

California State Society

Rincon del Diablo Chapter, NSDAR

Escondido, California

Welcome

The Rincon del Diablo Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR), is located in north inland San Diego County, California. Our chapter was organized in 1954 and has nearly 200 active members who reside in the adjacent communities of Escondido, Rancho Bernardo, Poway, San Marcos, Ramona, Julian, Temecula, and Valley Center.

Our organization is steeped in history, and our members are vibrant and forward-thinking. The women who make up our membership are varied and come from all walks of life, yet we share a common bond of tracing our ancestry back to those who helped gain our nation’s independence. We are committed to honoring our nation’s past by serving our communities today.

We look forward to meeting you and helping you become a member of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. Please contact our Regent or Registrar for more information.

About Us

For more than a century, the members of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution have dedicated themselves to historic preservation, promotion of education, and encouragement of patriotic endeavors. Each woman of the Rincon del Diablo Chapter, NSDAR, is a descendant of an American Revolutionary War Patriot. We are a lively group of ladies who are patriotic and welcoming. Since our chapter’s founding in 1954, we have participated in many NSDAR projects, including the DAR Good Citizens program, support of Native American women in crisis, DAR schools, scholarship programs, local Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) units, historic preservation, San Diego area libraries, and aiding veterans and active-duty military personnel.

Today we have nearly 200 members, aged 18 to 95, who are active in their local communities stretching from Temecula to Poway and Carlsbad to Julian. Our chapter traditions include:
