Martin Severance Chapter, NSDAR
Pasadena, California
Welcome
The Martin Severance Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR), was organized on June 13, 1914. Mrs. Edmund Barry was the chapter’s first regent. The chapter’s name was chosen for Martin Severance (1718–1810), who served for the freedom of the colonies in the American Revolutionary War. Most members are from the San Gabriel Valley area; however, some members are from other areas as well, as local residency is not a requirement for membership in any chapter.
We welcome any woman for membership who is 18 years of age and older who is descended from a man or woman who aided in achieving American independence during the period between April 19, 1775, and November 26, 1783. For more information about the Martin Severance Chapter, NSDAR, please contact our chapter communications chair.
