Los Cerritos Chapter, NSDAR
Long Beach, California
Welcome
The Los Cerritos Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR), was organized on February 9, 1927. It was named after the historic Rancho Los Cerritos, one of two Spanish land grants on which the city of Long Beach was built. In Spanish, Los Cerritos means “little hills,” for all the little hills on which the city stands.

About Us
Los Cerritos Chapter, NSDAR, supports historic preservation in our restoration projects at Long Beach’s historic Rancho Los Cerritos. We support education through our DAR schools, students’ American history essays, and DAR Good Citizen Awards. We invite guest speakers to talk about historic people and events and other topics. We support patriotism by honoring and serving our veterans, our troops, our flag, our country, and supporting Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (JROTC). We remember our ancestors who helped America achieve its freedom, and we are happy to participate in events at the Long Beach Veterans Administration.
