General John A. Sutter Chapter, NSDAR

Sacramento, California

Welcome

The General John A. Sutter Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR), was organized May 24, 1939, in Del Paso Heights (North Sacramento), California. Chapter meetings are on the third Saturday of each month between September and May. We welcome any woman for membership who is 18 years of age and older and is descended from a man or woman who aided in achieving American independence between April 19, 1775, and November 26, 1783.

We would be delighted to assist you in your search for your Patriot ancestor. We welcome you to attend one of our chapter meetings, and we look forward to meeting you!

About Us

Our chapter meetings are a lot of fun, and we have a fantastic group of ladies. We meet every third Saturday of each month, from January through May and September through December. We recite the Pledge of Allegiance, the American’s Creed, and read a National Defense message at each meeting. We keep the business portion of our meetings brief, to devote more time to our programs, which consist of a patriotic, educational, or historic theme. If you would like to come to one of our meetings, please contact us!
