DAR – Daughters of the American Revolution

California State Society

El Palo Alto Chapter, NSDAR

Menlo Park, California

Welcome

El Palo Alto Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR), was organized in November 1912 at Stanford University by the wives of Stanford professors. Today, the chapter has grown to over 60 members residing in the Silicon Valley and meeting at different venues in the Menlo Park area. Members are committed to working in the community, actively supporting the Palo Alto Veterans Administration (VA) Hospital, homeless veterans, and active duty military. The chapter promotes patriotism through involvement with local schools for the American History essay contest and promoting Constitution Week. Service in Seconds projects support veterans, first responders, and food-insecure community members. Members support DAR schools, the DAR Library, and various NSDAR President General’s and State Regent’s projects.
