El Dorado Chapter, NSDAR

Placerville, California

Welcome

The El Dorado Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR), meets in the beautiful Sierra Foothills of Placerville, California. We would like to extend a warm invitation to women interested in this organization — we would be delighted to answer any questions and look forward to greeting you at a chapter meeting.

About Us

El Dorado Chapter, NSDAR, was founded in the Fall of 1978 by Emily Hestler Ross, a past vice-regent of the Patience Wright Chapter, NSDAR, of Laguna Beach, California. The first official meeting, consisting of 20 members, was held on October 12, 1978, in the home of Gloria Miserlian. Emily passed away on May 29, 1989, after serving for 58 years as a DAR member. Her great heritage and her book of essays, Let Us Not Forget, will serve as a memorial to El Dorado Chapter, NSDAR, the “Golden One.”
