Desert Palm Chapter, NSDAR
El Centro, California
Welcome
The Desert Palm Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR), was organized on December 2, 1995, with Lillian Decker as the organizing regent. The chapter’s name was chosen to honor the fan leaf palm that was a beacon to early settlers and those attempting to reach the west coast, signaling lifesaving water in the barren desert landscape. Most members are from the Imperial County area, with many snowbirds visiting our chapter in the winter months. Local residency is not a requirement for membership in any chapter.
Desert Palm Chapter, NSDAR’s passion is ever-growing and includes serving the community and perpetuating the memory and spirit of the men and women who achieved American independence. Love of country is our common theme, and as Daughters, we share those ideals which formed this great country.
