If you have an interest in learning more about the Charlotte Parkhurst Chapter, NSDAR, and honoring and preserving the legacy of potential American Revolutionary War ancestors in your family, promoting historic preservation, education, and patriotic endeavors, please contact us.

Why Join? Today’s DAR membership reflects the remarkable diversity of our country, strengthening our bonds of service and friendship. Today’s DAR works to recognize the significant, but less frequently recognized, contributions to the cause of American freedom by men and women residing within North America, and in other countries, during the time of the Revolutionary War. Descendants of these revolutionary war supporters are eligible for DAR membership, including African American, French, French Canadian, Jewish, Native American, and Spanish Patriots. Learn more about minority research, or fill out the DAR Membership Interest Form.

Wreaths Across America

Each December, the Daughters of the American Revolution join Wreaths Across America to lay wreaths on veterans’ graves, honoring those who served our country to preserve freedom at home and around the world. The Charlotte Parkhurst Chapter, NSDAR, participates by placing wreaths at the Mormon Island Relocation Cemetery in El Dorado Hills and the Lakeside Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Folsom — together home to hundreds of veterans’ graves — and welcomes anyone in the community to join.

American Spirit Magazine

The Charlotte Parkhurst Chapter, NSDAR, received the national “Spread the American Spirit” magazine subscription contest recognition in 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024, attaining the Platinum Level.
