DAR – Daughters of the American Revolution

California State Society

Anne Loucks Chapter, NSDAR

Martinez, California

Welcome

The Anne Loucks Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR), has had a rich history since the chapter was formed November 12, 1927, by Emma Kester Wilcox. The chapter was named for a granddaughter of an American Revolution War soldier. Anne Loucks was a pioneer settler in Pacheco in 1851, where her husband became a leading merchant. Their daughter, Annie, was twice regent of the chapter. Members from the San Joaquin Chapter, NSDAR, in Pittsburg, California, merged with Anne Loucks Chapter members on October 10, 1998, and members from the Edmund Randolph Chapter, NSDAR, in Richmond, California, merged in on July 2, 2002.

Most members of the Anne Loucks Chapter, NSDAR, are from the Diablo and San Ramon Valley areas of Contra Costa County, but local residency is not a requirement for membership in any chapter.
